“Thermal baths capital — ruin bars, Danube views, stunning architecture, vibrant nightlife”
Hungary's capital is actually two cities — Buda and Pest — united in 1873 across the Danube River. The Romans built the settlement of Aquincum here, and the thermal springs that attracted them still feed the city's famous bathhouses, including the Ottoman-era Rudas and the Art Nouveau Gellert. The Hungarian Parliament Building, completed in 1904, is the third-largest parliament building in the world.
