The Mughal emperor Shah Jahan built the Red Fort and Jama Masjid in the 17th century, while the British designed New Delhi's grand avenues and Lutyens' architecture in the 1910s-30s. Qutub Minar, a 73m victory tower built in 1193, is Delhi's oldest monument and a UNESCO site.
