Located in the Gulf of Thailand, Koh Phangan is home to the famous Full Moon Party, which began spontaneously in 1988 when a group of travelers threw a party on Haad Rin beach. Beyond the parties, the island has dense tropical jungle, secret waterfalls, and ancient stone formations. Its northern coast remains largely undeveloped and serene.
